Info for New Members

The Eastern Raptors is a small, family friendly rugby league club formed in 2011, and supporting the growth of rugby league in the outer eastern metropolitan area of Melbourne. 

We cater to boys and girls aged 4 to 18 (Under 6 - Under 12 mixed, Under 8 - 12 girls, Under 13 - 18 segregated competitions), as well as fielding Senior (18+ years) and Masters (35+ years) teams for both men and women. 

All our volunteers are registered with NRL Victoria, and hold Working With Children Checks. We are a Gold accredited Good Sports Club.

What Equipment Will I Need?

All players will require football boots and a mouthguard. It is also Club policy that junior grades wear protective headgear. 

When and Where Do You Play?

Games are played on Saturday between April and October, at locations around Melbourne, except U8, U10 and U12 girls who play Friday evening.

Our home ground is Colchester Reserve on Beresford Drive in Boronia. 

We play away games right across Melbourne, from Craigieburn and Sunbury in the north, to Werribee and Melton in the west, and south as far as Frankston, Cranbourne and Pakenham. 

When Is Training Held?

All junior teams from U6 to U12 train at Colchester Reserve on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Not all grades train both days, your coach or team manager will advise. 

Our junior teams from U13 - U16 train Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.45pm at Colchester Reserve.

Senior grades train Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm at Colchester Reserve. 

Please note it is now NRL policy that all participants are registered and have paid insurance before they are able to train.

What Are The Costs Involed?

Participation cost is split into three parts - NRL Player Insurance, Club Fees and Uniform Fees.

NRL Player Insurance is mandatory and must be paid upon registration. This is paid directly to NRL. 2023 insurance amounts are:
Age 4 - 7 (Tag) - $12.50
Age 8 - 12 - $15.00
Age 13 - 15 - $30.00
Age 16 - 18 - $50.00
Age 19 and up $120.00

Club fees are set annually. For 2025 junior fees are set at $149, and senior at $260.
In 2025, fees will include registration, 2025 presentation and 2025 team photos.

Uniform fees are 

Eligible families can use Active Kids Vouchers to cover club fees and uniform fees.

Payment Plans and AfterPay are also available for payment of club fees and to cover uniforms.
